August BFI Supervisor CoP – Thurs. August 13
BFI Supervisors,
As we prepare to welcome our students back to campus, this is a perfect moment to pause and make sure you have the tools, support, and strategies you need to lead well during a busy season. Our supervisors set the tone for the entire BFI experience, and we’re excited to bring you a session designed to strengthen your well‑being and your team’s well‑being as we head into fall.
To do that, we’re looking forward to our next BFI Supervisor Community of Practice on Thursday, August 13th. This session will be highly interactive and focused on supervisor well‑being and the role leaders play in creating healthy, sustainable workplace cultures.
We’re excited to welcome Jess Morris, Program Director for Employee Wellness & Engagement (WorkWell), and Paulette Erickson‑England from the Faculty & Staff Assistance Program. Together, we will:
- Participate in discussions about the role supervisors play in shaping a culture of well‑being
- Learn strategies to support well‑being for both yourself and your supervisees
- Identify factors that contribute to workplace burnout and practical approaches for prevention
- Consider the U.S. Surgeon General’s Framework for Workplace Mental Health & Well‑Being
