Matt Kelley is Postdoctoral Fellow in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics in the Department of Political Science and the Benson Center for Western Civilization. Trained as a social and political philosopher, Matt’s research is at the intersection of critical theory (especially Marx and Foucault), philosophy of race, and philosophy of history. As a postdoctoral fellow, Matt teaches classes in Political Theory and Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) and is helping to develop a PPE program with the Benson Center. Outside of work, Matt spends time with his spouse, falls into Wikipedia holes, reads history and speculative fiction, and tries to convince his dog that senses other than smell are worth developing.
