CU �鶹ӰԺ and Community Cycles are partnering to help more people try bike commuting through weekly hosted group rides every Wednesday through the fall.��.

• Days: Wednesdays 7/22 through fall 2026
• Time: Meet at 7:20 am, leave by 7:30 am sharp
• Location: 36 & McCaslin/Louisville/Northbound Park n Ride, near the bus stop on the north side
• (Coming this fall, we’ll also host a commuter ride along the new Hwy 119 bike path when it opens!)

Enjoy vendor tables, live music, bike registration, repair services, games, and pedal-powered smoothies, plus every attendee can “earn” a free Bike Fest t-shirt. Stick around for the annual used bike sale, your chance to snag a great deal or find a new ride before the fall semester kicks off.

If you travel the Diagonal, you may have seen the new��bikeway overpass bridge waiting to be installed. Great news! The bridge is scheduled to be hoisted into place either July 10 or July 13.

Two months to go! Time to start increasing those training miles. The Elevations Credit Union Buffalo Bicycle Classic, CU �鶹ӰԺ's largest scholarship-fundraising cycling event, is on Sunday, September 13, 2026. Routes vary, so all abilities can find one that will be fun for them. Riders doing the big climb get the rare chance to bike up �鶹ӰԺ Canyon while it's closed to vehicles westbound from 7 to 9 am that morning.��

Planning to drive to campus this fall? Student parking permit sales begin at 10 a.m. (MT) starting July 27, and will open in phases based on enrollment status.

Permit sale schedule:

• Graduate and Veteran students: Monday, July 27
• Seniors: Tuesday, July 28
• Juniors: Wednesday, July 29
• Sophomores and off-campus Freshmen: Thursday, July 30
• Freshmen and all others: Friday, July 31

Permits can sell quickly, so be sure to know your sale date and have a backup transportation plan. Whether you drive, bike, bus, walk, or combine several options, now is a great time to start planning your commute for the fall semester.

Starting in early July, city crews will repave stretches of Pearl Street and Folsom Street, restoring pavement and updating bike and vehicle lane markings. The project also includes safety improvements such as protected corner islands and a reduced speed limit on Folsom Street. Temporary lane shifts and construction impacts are expected, but businesses and parking will stay accessible throughout.
