Sponsored by theΜύOffice of Leadership Support and Programming, Impact Grants provide seed funding to efforts that operationalize unitsβ capacity to advance at least one of the campusβsΜύfive diversity, equity and inclusion goals. Initiatives are eligible for up to five years of funding that decreases with each renewal. Proposals must demonstrate a clear assessment plan, a sustainability plan and support from their unit lead.Μύ
The campus has over 30Μύacademic and administrative planning units that are engaging in efforts to create and sustain a more supportive campus where everyone matters and all can thrive. Since the programβs inception in 2023, 45 unique initiatives have received Impact Grants across 16 campus units, 25 of which have been renewed at least once.
βAligning with our campus commitment toΜύshared equity leadership, we especially encourage proposals that demonstrate collaboration and long-term impact,β said Alison Hanson, the grantβs program and assessment manager. βI have been inspired by the creativity of Impact Grant recipients to develop student research opportunities, build student support structures, establish community partnerships and create trainings for campus constituents.β
