James Curry has been named a fellow of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, which recognizes those who have made “outstanding contributions” to the field.

A team of of Arts and Sciences faculty has won a $150,000 grant for a project that aims to develop a curricular initiative that enhances the humanities and data science by developing courses that are equally rooted in each discipline.

The 2022 Research and Innovation Seed Grants, announced by the Research & Innovation Office and the Office of the Provost, are funding 25 new projects for up to $50,000 each, including three new CU �鶹ӰԺ Grand Challenge projects.

The Innovating Large Courses Initiative is a new program focused on supporting academic units to create sustainable change for learning in large courses at CU �鶹ӰԺ. The initiative aims to improve student success in these courses through team-based efforts and cross-campus collaboration.

“Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Wisdom of Plants” by Robin Wall Kimmerer is the selection for Buffs One Read in the fall.

Cadets from CU �鶹ӰԺ's AFROTC executed a 24-hour memorial run for Officer Eric Talley and the other victims of the Table Mesa King Soopers tragedy.
