<p>Lauren E. Cross graduates May 9 from CU-�鶹ӰԺ with a degree in political science and minor in economics, leaving her legacy with CU Student Government and the campus comedy improv group, Left Right Tim. A Colorado native, Cross sees herself sticking around �鶹ӰԺ for a little while before venturing to a place that offers a scene for politics as well as comedy.</p>

<p><span>A $500,000 gift from Phillips 66 will go toward the Leeds School’s Career Development Office</span><span>, which supports undergraduates by providing professional skills, career exploration and preparation, industry experiences and access to employer and alumni connections throughout the student experience.  </span></p>

<p>The confidence of Colorado business leaders remains positive and has increased slightly going into the second quarter of 2014, according to the most recent Leeds Business Confidence Index, or LBCI, released today by the �鶹ӰԺ’s Leeds School of Business.</p>

<p>The �鶹ӰԺ’s Real Estate Council will hold its 17th annual forum Wednesday, March 5, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Denver Marriott City Center.</p>

<p><span>Students from the �鶹ӰԺ’s Leeds School of Business will offer free tax preparation services to individuals under the Internal Revenue Service-sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. </span><span>Members of the public who make $52,000 or less are eligible for the service, now in its fifth year at the Leeds School.</span></p>

<p>The �鶹ӰԺ has named Mark Meaney as executive director of the Center for Education on Social Responsibility (CESR) at the Leeds School of Business.</p>

<p>The confidence of Colorado business leaders has increased slightly going into the first quarter of 2014 as economic conditions improve and some political issues have subsided, according to the most recent Leeds Business Confidence Index, or LBCI, released today by the �鶹ӰԺ’s Leeds School of Business.</p>

<p>Average smartphone users are willing to pay up to $5 extra for a typical application—or “app”—that won’t monitor their locations, contact lists and other personal information, a study conducted by two economists at the �鶹ӰԺ has found.</p>
