The College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Tech Scholars are the first in their families to attend college.Ìý

These first-year students have declared majors in the College of Arts and Sciences and enjoy a built-in community throughout their first year at CU Â鶹ӰԺ.Ìý

Small groups of Tech Scholars meet weekly with sophomore student mentors and professional staff as they navigate new challenges and triumphs on campus.

Scholar Opportunities


Every Tech Scholar enjoys an Apple tech package and attends workshops each week covering topics to help connect them to campus and support their personal and academic journey at CU Â鶹ӰԺ.Ìý

Tech Scholars learn better ways to take notes, organize schoolwork and use AI, apps and other tech tools for studying.Ìý

Additional workshops help students identify personal values and goals, target additional scholarship sources and expand their knowledge of academic and extracurricular opportunities on campus.

Program Outcomes


Tech Scholars create a professional resume and LinkedIn profile, they're matched with a professional mentor and they learn the importance of networking.Ìý

By the end of their first year, Tech Scholars have built their own supportive community by connecting with other first-gen students in the program, working with their sophomore mentors and program leaders and having the confidence and skills to use provided technology tools for academic and personal success.

Who qualifies for this program?Ìý

All College of Arts and Sciencesfirst-year and first-generation students who are also Colorado residents.

Please prepare responses to the following questions:
