The Department of Cinema Studies and Moving Image Arts equipment check-out facilityÌý(aka. The Kage)Ìýprovides film students with the tools, supplies, and services needed to produce film, video, animation and other creative works.Ìý

We're open Monday-Friday 9:30am-4:30pm in ATLAS 1B11.Ìý

Renting Equipment

Facilities and equipment are availableÌý³Ù´Ç students currently enrolled in a CINE course. Equipment access is subject to the student's course level. Non-Cinema Studies students are NOT allowed to rent CinemaÌýStudies equipment. However, Alumni may reserve studios over the summer if classes aren't scheduled.Ìý

Non-Cinema Studies students are not allowed to rent Ìýequipment from the Kage

Many Labs/Studios are outfitted with specialty needs that become available to students who have taken the right courses/have been trained to use the equipment provided in each room.Ìý

Atlas 310 and Atlas 345 are walk-in computer labs, so reservation is needed for those rooms. However, please be mindful of any classes or workshops scheduled. There will be a class schedule posted on the door for you to reference.Ìý
