Disability Services is transitioning from Accommodate to AIM, our new student-facing accommodation management system.Ìý

Important DatesÌý

  • Last day to access Accommodate: Sunday, Aug. 2ÌýÌý
  • System downtime: Monday, Aug. 3 -Tuesday, Aug. 4Ìý
  • First day to access AIM: Wednesday, Aug. 5Ìý

During the transition, students will not have access to either the Accommodate Portal or AIM on Monday, Aug. 3-Tuesday, Aug. 4Ìý

AIM allows students to:Ìý

  • Manage accommodation lettersÌý
  • Submit accommodation requestsÌý
  • Request appointments with your Access Coordinator once you have completed the registration processÌý
  • Access accommodation-related services and resourcesÌý

Testing Accommodations

Testing Accommodations are designed to provide students with disabilities an equal opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned when taking exams and quizzes.

Note-Taking Accommodations

Students must be registered with Disability Services and approved for note-taking accommodations in order to access note-taking services. Examples of note-taking accommodations include: the ability to use technology to take notes in class, access to GenioÌýand additional options that can be discussed with your Access Coordinator.

Flexibility with Attendance and Assignment Deadlines Plan (Flex Plan)

The Flex PlanÌýaddresses attendance and assignment related issues for students with disabilities.ÌýThe Flex PlanÌýis intended to create a reasonable modification, where appropriate, to the classroom attendance and assignment deadlines policies of each course.

Alternate Format

Alternate format of text refers to the conversion of printed academic materials to accessible formats for students with a variety of disabilities.ÌýThe majority of the students with this accommodation at CU Â鶹ӰԺ require the provision of accessible (readable) electronic files, which students access using software or apps on their computers, tabletsÌýand phones.

Service and Assistance Animals

A service animal refers to any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability.
