Major-Specific Advising

Professional Academic Advisors in the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) are offering a mix of virtual Advising Sessions (either live or recorded) and Individual Appointments to help new students prepare for their first semester. This will be your starting point - advisors will review recommended class schedules and share how to explore your interests through university resources.

If possible, attend a Group Advising Session or watch your Major Introduction Video before scheduling a one-on-one appointment with your assigned advisor. If you can鈥檛 make it to a live group advising session, a recording will be posted on this website afterward for you to watch. Either way, the information shared will give you a solid foundation for any follow-up conversations with your advisor.

Current CEAS students are welcome to attend or watch any of the videos below, especially if you are considering changing majors or adding a second major. However, these sessions are not designed for students who are not currently rostered in CEAS.

All sessions are hosted in Mountain Time (MT). Schedule is subject to change.

No group advising. Students should schedule an individual appointment with their assigned Academic Advisor via Buff Portal Advising before their New Student Orientation, if possible.
