Internship Program
The IAFS 4930: Internship in International Affairs class offers credit for internationally-focused work with a variety of organizations in the United States and abroad. The class is offered for three credits and isÌýopen to junior and senior IAFS majors. The course provides faculty oversight and academic structure that help students connect their internship responsibilities to international affairs concepts while developing transferable skills such as professional communication research and critical reflection.
Completing an internship for credit can fulfill the Off-Campus Experience requirement and place the internship on a student’s academic transcript for employers or graduate and professional schools. For many students the course also offers a supported way to explore career interests and gain clarity about post graduation goals.Ìý
