CEREMONIA DEL GRITO DE INDEPENDENCIA
The Ceremony of the "Grito de Independencia" is one that is close to the hearts of manyÌýMexicans, noÌýmatter their age, background, or creed.Ìý
"Growing up in Guadalajara, Jalisco and participating in "ElÌýGrito" as a child, represented independence and orgullo (pride) for the people who fought and risked their lives a cambioÌýdeÌýnuestra libertad (in exchange for our freedom). Viva Mexico!" Assistant Dean Patricia Gonzalez says.
Like her, many people share similarlyÌýbeautiful family memories of the day. Some recall precious moments, others special rituals.ÌýTheÌýCeremonia of El Grito de Independencia will be celebrated all around Mexico thisÌý upcoming 15 of September, 2026.
