Â鶹ӰԺ the New Venture Challenge (NVC)
NVC—a signature program of the Â鶹ӰԺ's Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative—is a launchpad for aspiring problem-solvers and creatives. During this multi-round, multi-event entrepreneurial competition, teams can win a share of more than $270,000 and pitch to a live audience at the Â鶹ӰԺ Theater.
Who can participate?
Everyone at CU Â鶹ӰԺ is invited to participate including students, faculty, staff and alums who graduated from CU Â鶹ӰԺ after Nov. 1, 2025.
NVC participants can earn a micro-credential while gaining experience in creating a startup venture.
How does NVC work?
Participants can compete in one of two NVC categories:
Deep Tech Category – For ventures based on scientific or technological innovations developed using fundamental scientific disciplines.
Open Category – For ventures not meeting the Deep Tech criteria.
